The sentence game is a good challenging vocabulary game for kids.
It's one of the fun thinking and logic games.
It's good to get kids playing and using their thinking skills at the same time.
Using language skills and vocabulary skills while doing something fun makes it seem a lot less like learning to kids.
It's not as easy as it looks! As long as the sentence makes sense, it can be as crazy as the kids create it to be!
This is another good one to play with the kids in English class to help them connect strings of sensible words.
Parents can join in at home and play along!
Begin with the players agreeing on a word 4 to 7 letters long.
You may choose up to 8 letters if the kids are older.
Players then have to create one sentence using the first letter of each word in the order the letters appear in the word.
Another word can be "glasses". A sentence the kids can come up with includes, "George loves all slimy snakes eating soap".
After each player has read his sentence, one point is given to each player who has a sentence that makes sense.
You can decide before the game how many rounds will be played. A new word is chosen after each round.
The player with the most points at the end of the final round wins. Good luck and have loads of fun!
