Snap - A Card Match Game

Snap is a card match game, and one of the fun preschool games kids love. Make a lot of noise!

The object is to win all the cards while making noise!

Before You Play

2 - 4 players
Ages 4 and up
Need standard deck of cards

Begin with each player picking a card. The player with the highest card shuffles and deals all the cards, one at a time, face down.

Each player puts his cards in a stack without looking at them.

The player on the dealer's left goes first. He turns over the top card on his stack and lays it face up beside his stack. The other players do the same at their turns.

The cards pile up until a card appears that is the same value as another face-up card.

Then, all the players yell "Snap!" The first player who yells it takes both face-up piles. He adds them to the bottom of his face-down stack.

The play continues around the table (to the left of the player who had the matching card).

If a player yells "Snap!" at the wrong time, she has to give each of the other players a card from her face-down pile.

If two players yell "Snap!" at the same time, the stacks with the matching cards are stacked on top of each other in the center. This is the "Snap pool."

Play continues, but the first player who calls out "Snap pool!" when a player turns over a card that matches one on top of the pool, adds all those cards to her face-down pile.

If two players yell at the same time, a second Snap pool is created and both can be won.

When a player is out of face down cards, he plays with his face up pile.

A player who runs out of all cards is out.

The End

The winner is the player who collects all the cards.
