Water Balloon Toss

Water Balloon Toss is one of the fun kids outdoor games, birthday party games and team building games for kids.

4 or more players
Ages: 8 and up
Need balloons

Put the kids into groups of 2 and have each group stand 3 feet apart facing their teammates.

One player from each group gets a water filled balloon. At the shout of "ready, set, go!" the players toss their balloons to their partners.

If the balloon is caught, the catcher takes a step back then tosses it back to her teammate.

If the balloon falls to the ground or breaks that team is out.

Play continues in this manner with players stepping back after a successful catch then tossing it to their teammate.

The winning team is the last team with a balloon that has not popped.

If you want to play this indoors or at school in the gym, you can skip filling the balloon with water and just use a regular balloon blown up.

This may be better for younger kids as it will be easier for them to throw and catch.

You can also let younger kids continue to toss and catch in the same position they are in instead of having them take steps back.

This won't be as challenging but it will still be fun!

If you have a pool in your yard, you can have one child from each partner group line up about 15 feet from the pool.

After enough back steps, the child will eventually fall in to the pool to swim around!

A great game on a hot day! His partner can then join him in the pool!
