Travel Scavenger Hunt

Begin by having an adult prepare a list of objects to find. Once in the car, each player will get a copy of the list.
The whole family will find this a fun game to play when you're going on a long car trip together.

You'll find the time flies by pretty fast as you're keeping your eyes out for different objects on your lists.

Lists can be short or long and elaborate, depending on the kids ages and the length of the trip.

Once a child spots an object on the list, she shouts it out and puts an X through that item on her list.

Noone else can use the same object.

The winner is either the first person who has the most found objects after a certain amount of time has passed, or the first person to find all his objects.

To make it more challenging, you can pick a category and list objects that fall into that category only.

Example, animals. Your list can include dogs, cats, cows, pigs, birds, chipmunks and squirrels!

Make sure, though, that you will actually see these animals on your journey!

Another category could be restaurants with certain common fast food restaurants listed.

You could even do makes of cars and list 5 makes for everyone to find.
