Ring Around the Rosy
Ring Around the Rosy is one of the fun outside party games, birthday party games for kids, music games for kids.
4 or more players This is another beloved children's game played for many, many years in all parts of the world. It's played when kids are gathered outside and want to have old fashioned fun. It's played at playgrounds when the kids are on recess. It's played at campsites around the world. It's a great game for teaching youngsters coordination, concentration and direction. They learn to listen for "all fall down" then they need to sit on the ground. It helps them with agility, too. Begin with having the players hold hands in a circle formation.
The kids move around the circle and sing:
"Ring around the rosey, pocket full of posey,
When they sing "down" all players sit down on the ground.
A new round then begins with play continuing as before - the kids circle, sing and "fall down."
Each round the kids can switch up and walk, run, skip or jump around the circle as they sing.
When the kids are on the ground, they can sing out, "We all stand up!", then they get up, join hands and play continues as before.
The game can be played as long as the kids want.
