Peanuts Game

2 or more players
Ages: 4 and up
Need peanuts, small plastic cups, timer

Any type of peanuts can be used: cashews, walnuts, almonds, shelled.

You can also use additional items such as wrapped candy or pennies.

An adult hides the peanuts (or other objects) in the room before the kids gather for the game.

The room should have good places to hide the objects such as in drawers, under chairs or desks, or behind doors or curtains.

Each player is given a small cup and at the shout of "go!", all players begin searching for the objects.

When they find one, they put it in their cups.

After 5 minutes has passed, the adult shouts, "time", and players stop seeking and count their objects.

The winner is the player with the most objects.

You can also play by giving the kids a certain number of objects to find. Say 10.

The child who finds all her objects the fastest is the winner.

To make it more challenging, you could have each child find 5 pennies, 5 walnuts, 5 almonds and 5 pieces of wrapped candy.

Teachers, this is a great game to play around Halloween, Hanukkah and Christmas.

Kids love to find objects, and if they get to keep them it's even better!
