Mulberry Bush

Mulberry Bush is one of the fun outdoor party games, fun birthday party games and games for little kids.

4 or more players
Ages: 3 and up

Have the kids stand in a circle and hold hands. They walk around clockwise and sing,

"Here we go round the mul berry bush,
The mul berry bush, the mul berry bush,
Here we go round the mul berry bush,
So early in the morning."

As the singing goes on, the kids have to perform actions and do activities for each verse.

"This is the way we wash our clothes,
Wash our clothes, wash our clothes,
This is the way we wash our clothes,
So early in the morning."

The kids have to perform actions related to washing clothes as they sing and walk around the circle.

Play continues with the players singing, circling and performing actions to the following verses, one verse at a time.

"This is the way we:
Iron our clothes . . .
Sweep the floor . . .
Brush our teeth . . .
Wash our hair . . .
Drive the car . . .
Ride our bike . . .
Wash the dishes . . . "

Kids can make up their own verses as they go along.

Play continues for as long as the kids want to play.
