Kid Travel Games
Cool kid travel games on road trips usually involve games with license plates.
This is one of the fun addition games for kids, kids memory games and educational kids games.
2 or more players
Ages: 7 and up
The object is to get to 100 points.
Each player takes a turn adding up all the numbers on a license plate.
If the first player's plate has 275 on it, she adds the numbers up for a total of 14 (2 + 7 + 5).
Player # 2 adds the numbers up on the next car's plate as it passes by.
Play continues in this manner. Players must add the numbers up in their heads. No paper is allowed!
After each player has had a turn, the next round begins.
After a player adds her numbers up on the 2nd round, she must add this total on to her total from the previous round.
Once a player reaches 100, play continues until that round comes to an end. The winner is the player with the highest score. Players may have scores over 100.
To make it more challenging, you can multiply the numbers, divide the numbers or subtract the numbers. Or do a combination of all three!
If you want to subtract numbers, you can change the score to be -100. The first person who reaches -100 wins!
You can also play with road signs. If you see a sign stating Florida is 86 miles, you can add 8 + 6 for a total of 14.
