Hide and Seek

3 or more players
Ages: 5 and up

Safety first. Always supervise kids while playing this game. Outline boundaries and where they can and cannot hide.

This game can be played indoors or outdoors. If playing indoors, you'll need a large room with places for the kids to hide.

One player will be "it" and search for the hidden players. He closes his eyes and counts to 50 while the other players find places to hide.

Once he reaches 50, he shouts, "ready or not here I come!" He then seeks the other players.

When he finds a player he tags (touches) him and that player is out of the game.

A place or object is home base. If outside this can be a tree, side of a building or fence.

Players want to try and get to home base when the seeker isn't near them. They have to run and touch home base. Once they do they are safe.

The seeker needs to move away from home base. If he stays by there, it makes it very hard for other players to get there and be safe. Hiding places should be a good 30 feet away from the base.

The round is over when all players are either home or have been tagged. Play can continue for as many rounds as the kids want to play.

Each round, a different child will be "it". This can be the first or last child tagged, or players can volunteer to be the seeker.
