Fox and Geese

It's one of the fun kids outdoor games that can be played all year long.

Kids will need good concentration, stamina and balance in this fun game. 6 or more players
Ages 6 and up
Need: chalk or sticks

This is a good winter game when the snow has fallen and covered the ground.

Begin by using chalk on pavement or sticks on snow and draw a circle about 30 feet around.

Inside the circle make 6 spokes like a wheel, starting from the middle of the circle. Each should be the same width apart.

Choose one player as the fox. The other players will be geese. The fox takes his place in the center of the circle.

The geese go and stand along the circle rim or on one of the wheel spokes.

The leader shouts, "One, two, three, GO!" and the fox takes off, chasing the geese.

The players have to run along the spikes or cicle's rim. They cannot step off the line. If they do, they are out of that round.

When the fox tags a goose, the goose becomes the fox's pal and chases after the geese.

The winner is the last goose left standing. He then becomes the new fox.

You may play as many rounds of this game as you want.

You can also set a time limit and play until the time has elapsed.
